Our 2021 Glam Gams Rose is quite European in it’s presentation. Grenache is the most planted grape variety in all of Europe. It’s main use is for rose wine or as a blending partner to other reds. What makes it popular as a rose is the delightful strawberry – rose petal – white pepper notes found in the flavors and aromas. Grenache wines are also fairly soft and approachable at a young age. This is your summer sipper. Great with freshly made sandwiches, mild cheeses and charcuterie or slightly chilled in your glass. You can not go wrong with those choices!

Our 2020 Tr*Umph is a Cabernet Sauvignon heavy wine which is quite sophisticated possessing medium – plus to full body.  Flavors and aromas of sweet vanilla bean, coffee bean and mocha barrel notes plus ripe black cherries, black currants and dried Provence herbs complete the flavor and aroma profile.  This is a wine of substance.  Match with a beef steak or a vegetarian meal centered around eggplant or mushrooms.  

Our 2021 TriUmph represents a very small – coveted bottling.   It is an elegant yet powerful red wine possessing enough body to be classified medium – plus to full.  Flavors and aromas are classic sweet vanilla bean – coffee bean barrel notes plus ripe black cherries a dash of raspberry and some black currants.  Slight rose petal and dried herbal notes complete the flavor and aroma profile.  The acidity and tannins are moderate and present a softer yet firm wine.  This is an excellent food wine.  Some recommended food pairings would be with grilled loin of lamb chops seasoned with the herbs of Provence or your favorite cut of beefsteak.  It would also pair very well with a rich – cheesy onion soup. 

We’re not kidding when we tell you that Ray has never produced a wine as full and rich as this Whistle Punk Vintage….and it all began in the Native River Vineyard!  This extremely hot site produced dark intense berries with aromas of ripe purple plum, blackberry with some wild huckleberry notes, framed with lovely caramel oak from 19mons in barrel. The ripe tannins create a round chalky texture to the wines that has a healthy acid backbone providing a solid core to structure all that ripe and rich black fruit. Anticipate the ability to cellar this wine 7-10years. Because it is a full rich wine we suggest equally rich smokey BBQ sauces with grilled beef, lamb, venison or even salmon.

Our 2020 Whistle Punk is a superb – very well balanced red wine.  Very dark purple color, flavors and aromas of vanilla bean – graham cracker barrel notes compliment the grape notes beautifully.  Ripe black cherries plus purple plums complete the flavor and aroma profile.  Whistle Punk is not only a great food wine, a glass of it finishes your days work perfectly.  Match with homemade burgers, stews centered around beef or lamb or a savory eggplant Parmesan. 

Our 2021 Merlot represents a very small bottling.   It is very elegant with substantial medium – plus body.  The French oak barrel favors and aromas are sweet vanilla bean – roasted coffee bean.  Ripe Lapin cherry, some black currants plus generous rose petal and dried herbal notes complete the flavor and aroma profile.  The acidity and tannins are moderate and present a softer yet firm wine.  This is a superb food wine.  Some recommended food pairings would be with grilled salmon.

Our 2020 Petite Sirah is a superb – very well balanced red wine. The color is a very dark purple – ruby. Flavors and aromas of vanilla bean – graham cracker barrel aromas and flavors compliment the ripe blackberry – blueberry notes beautifully. The acids are moderate adding additional firmness to the structure. Tannins are moderate – plus which will aid in the aging potential of this fine wine. Petite Sirah is an excellent match when enjoying smoked beef brisket or grilled beefsteak. Looking for a food which is unusual to pair this wine with? Try escargot seasoned with sage, rosemary, thyme, garlic and black pepper! Serve with a chewy artisan baguette.

Our 2021 Caris is an elegant wine yet possesses enough body to be classified medium – plus to full.  Flavors and aromas of harmonious sweet vanilla bean – coffee bean barrel notes plus a touch of sage, ripe strawberries and black cherries complete the flavor and aroma profile.  This is a very good food wine.  Some recommended food pairings would be with grilled loin of lamb chops seasoned with the herbs of Provence or a spinach – mushroom – Manchego cheese tart finished with a nice Lyonnaise sauce.

Tannat wines are crafted with collectors of wine in mind.  They are deeply colored with hues of dark purple.  Tannins and firm acidity are no strangers to Tannat wines which makes for very long lived wines.  The 2021 version does not disappoint as it delivers excellent medium – plus to full body.  Flavors and aromas of sweet vanilla bean – coffee bean barrel notes plus generous notes of ripe raspberries, black pepper and black currants, lapin sweet cherries complete the flavor and aroma profile.  Though one must, we repeat must be patient with Tannat wines, this 2021 is an excellent food wine.  A recommended food pairing would be with the ultimate comfort food known as cassoulet or pan – seared duck breast.  A generous – well marbled beef steak grilled to perfection would be another great choice.

Complex flavors and aromas of raisined purple plums, black cherry and chocolate match perfectly with barrel notes of caramel and sweet vanilla bean.  The mouthfeel is full bodied.  The presence in your mouth continues long after passing over your palate.  This wine may be aged a good 8 to 12 years.  Enjoy with the fine blue cheeses or salted – roasted nuts.  If you enjoy cigars, a medium to full bodied Maduro will pair beautifully with our port!
